And you can make a baby in 1 month using 9 women -_-
No, you got 9 babies in 9 month instead of one baby :)
Otherwise it would take 9*9 = 81 months :P

I'm not even sure how to respond to that...

I wonder if anybody has ever graphed Efficiency vs People Involved vs Project Size in game development. It's be an interesting graph to say the least...

I can see it crashing at a certain point, but it's something that's almost impossible to graph. Every game has its own problems.

Two people still isn't much for a game of this caliber. When you look at it, you don't have an advantage over nintendo, you have a disadvantage, because nintendo had huge numbers of people working on the games, and it's their job to work on it. Not to be discouraging, but it's a huge task. You're gonna have to be looking at over 10 years work (i estimate) if it's only u and a partner, (And we all know the world is gonna end in 2012 lol...). You should try to figure out the scope of your game, and if you can stick to it for that long. Even so, things change, and many people who say they'll stick to it, stop in a couple months.

Mhm...
And actually, if each women were to bear lets say.... quadruplets, then you would have 36 babies in 9 months =D

Ok, so it is you who is doing everything and then a guy who is helping with 3d models?
Also, you had some guys working on a story, correct? (or I might be getting this confused with another project)

My advice is to keep organization a priority and to set specific goals and tasks for yourself and your team.

If you can, have some kind of meeting (maybe some kind of chat if you guys only know each other over internet) so you can get some good planning done, let everyone's voice be heard, and figure out how your team will work best together (etc).

I can't stress enough the important of you knowing where you want this project to go. Becausen if you don't then people will not have much reason to think that your project will be successful and your team will have a hard time staying interested. That's why I stress goals so that it will seem more put together and like it is going somewhere.

If you don't have goals, set some, talk to your team about it.

Btw, I was just wondering how this project has been going?

The project is going very well but we have nothing to show right now ....
We are planing out the concept and I'm doing some fixing on the link model.
And yeah We have some goals. But we simply just need to get a good storyline down before that. Then just playing with scripting and coding to get a good zelda gameplay.

When that's finished we are going to work on models levels and more concept stuff.

So number 1 is to finish a good storyline(we are still open for help with the story)

and number 2 is correct player and camera movment

number 3 is attacking system

number 4 is enemies AI and damage system

Hey Tak from zeldadungeon.net(she is helping me with the story) has a little idea of a story.
What do you guys think ......

Link returns to Hyrule, only to find (insert location here) Incased in ice.
After some exploring, looking for someone not frozen, he comes upon (character here).
He learns that the sacred "Orbs of Life" Have been stolen from their pedestals throughout Hyrule.

The villain who has stolen the orbs, has used them to drain the souls from the inhabitants of Hyrule.
The Villain wants to use these souls to ressurect the "Shadow King". Who, with the power of the souls, will rule over the Kingdom, using the inhabitants as slaves for the rest of eternity.

Link's goal, is to retreive the Orbs and restore life to Hyrule, before it is too late.

please say what you think

If it's not good then it's not good ........
What could be more of the story and so on ?

thanks. We just want to know what people think before we are doing more on this story :D

So should we keep this story and developing more from this or does somebody have a better idea ?

edit: hey just came up with a idea. The orbs that it's talking about ......
Maybe they where stolen from the unicorns lair ?????

That story sounds good to me. :)

I like the idea of the orbs being stolen from more than one place though, but the unicorns lair could have something to do with being the "main" place somehow, like where they're all connected, the source of life maybe?

Anyway, great story and great goals there too!
I think that making the storyline first is a very strong way to start a Zelda project.

The story is really good. Continue with it.

About the orbs and unicorn lair, I have to agree with FrozenFire. The orbs should be coming from different places. You could make it so that you will have to bring the orbs to it in order to purify them from the evil. Although it would sound really stupid to continue calling it unicorn's lair, as it is only called that way by fans due to the unicorn looking statues.

Yeah I get what you mean :) like every place in hyrule have a place for the orbs.
I'll be working on some concept art and suff tomorrow ......

The mouth and the nose are a bit too low on the face, but for the rest it looks nice.

yeah I thought so too, but I have to maybe lower the head a bit down first.

He has a little bit to long neck, but you can't see it on this image :)

The only part that needs work is Link's head. The body is very good.

Link's cap looks weird because it's not really hanging down but it's sticking out. And I agree with Niek about the face.

Nicely done. :)

Oh, you will make his boots brown though, right?

I agree with Frozenfire and Niek, face needs some work.

But good work with that :)

yeah I've worked a bit on the face and texture now, more work later.
But the hat is just like that because it's going to be animated :D

It's easier to rig a hat that is like that then when it's so close to the body :)

And this is the first test So just say what I have to improve for the next test :D

UPDATE:

I'm currently learning AI scripting so thats why I haven't post something new in a long time ...........

Also have a story under construction
