I like it Shefali. Looks nice. I wouldn't go quite so far as to say that you could see the dot on the other side, but yeah, I looked over some MC shading stuff online, and it is very top down.

Alright. Thanks to inspiration from Darklight, I've come up with a new Beamos. This time, i simply edited one of the pillar pegs from the Palace of Winds. I think that with more detail and a lighter set of colors, it would work great.

I think your last beamos was better. Instead of a grey eye, make it yellow.

A grey eye? Where do you see this "grey eye"?

The new one looks too much like the pillars and not enough like a Beamos.  You might be able to edit that into a good looking Beamos, but it needs a lot of work.

I know, was just showing and figuring out the top down-edness it would take to make it look MC style. I'm gonna put editing it on hold, trying to complete an enemy AI movement engine for my game.

Enemy movement engine almost done, so i figured I'd just post the edit i got done. Yes yes, i know that the head is terrible, couldn't do much about it. Still looks a bit like the pillars, but nowhere near as much. Whaddaya think?

OK you know the Grey sphere which has the beamos eye on it. Try making the entire thing the eye. One giant eye. I think it will look better. Great job though.

oh, you mean like a WindWaker beamos. Like an orb for a head that just shoots lazers. Well, for all intents and purposes, i think that that would look better too, but these are rotating "sentry" beamos, and a orb doesn't rotate well, at least not visibly.

I think it doesn't look like a beamos.

Try making the eye even bigger, without the shine. It should look like it's looking at something.

The purpose was to make it look like the one in Wind Waker, but I can see what I can do.  :P

Wonderfully done, i think it looks great. Still, it doesn't really seem to be looking at something. These are guards and sentries, i dunno, i feel like it should have more... intent, if you know what i mean.

Here is a update if the beamos I did yesterday:

I made them i little bit thiner and placed the orb little bit higher up so it looks like it's floating in the air as it does in Wind Waker. I also might change the colour of it too, but I leave it as it is for now.  :D

It looks nice, but the problem with your beamos is that there is no visible eye. You have no idea where it is looking at and thus I have no idea where it is safe to run past it.

If you guys don't know, the Wind Waker version of the beamos actually don't uses the head to respond on moving targets thats around it. Actually it's a small tracker under where it floats that is responding on targets that the head will shoot at. So maybe I can put a small tracker under the head that you can see. I dunno. But I can see what I can do.  :P

I started editing SinkinDevil's but I got bored before I finished it.  Here's what I have so far:

And here's what I used as a reference:

Btw, the WW Beamos does have an eye that appears only when it's firing:

Shefali - That looks really good. Plus there wouldn't be problems with 360 rotation as the all you have to do is move the eye slightly.

I recoloured my version and used Shefali's orb and maked a code to make it move and it moves perfectly. So, I think that is the final version.  XD

This is how far I can get to make it look like the one in Wind Waker.
