Between the constant stupid circles of Pokemon Ranger 1, and the giant bowser fire breathing !@#$%, my touch screen on my Phat DS is !@#$% up, Thanks Nintendo for making a shitty screen for a handheld that requires to use of the screen in many of your "innovative" games. I shouldn't have to buy some stupid screen protector to make my screen not !@#$% up because of normal gameplay.

!@#$% up in what way? My sisters calibrates itself differently for every part of the screen... or doesn't it work at all?

I'm guessing he wore it out or scratched it.
It happens.

Isn't this quite like the throwing the wii remote at the TV thing?
"It's the maker's fault because they didn't stop me from being far too stupid rough with using it."

It's not joke >.>

Not really, A lot of the things that puts the wear and tear on the touch screen have to do with things in games that don't really need touch screen control, like some of the attacks of giant bowser in Mario and Luigi, plus the fact that they don't sell small normal styluses anymore so i have to use a ds lite one.

There is also that circle crap in Pokemon Ranger, that whole magic catcher thing was annoying. And helped in the wear and tear

Actually, I have to agree with hawthorneluke. That it scratched is your own damn fault. I have used mine intensively over the years with a lot of games. My screen is hardly scratched. If it has scratched it means you are pressing the point way to hard on the screen and destroyed it yourself. Don't tell me that it won't register anything if you didn't press it that hard, because it does.

Thus it is your fault your screen broke and not Nintendo's fault.

I agree with Niek, I have had my DS since the day of release, and their isn't a single mark on the screen. I have used it intensively also. Perhaps the original DS screen is designed for the larger stylus and you scratched it because it cant cope with the DSLite one. In which case, unfortunately it's also your fault for loosing it. Did you consider using hte thumb strap instead?

I have to agree. I have both a DSPhat and a Lite , having got both not long after they launched, and neither screen had broken at all, despite playing many games where I have to frantically rub them, and I dont use any official Stylus'. Make sure you're not pressing in too hard, you dont really have to poke the screen, just touch it.

Ugh now i feel stupid, just tried my DS, the screen works fine now, i think i was holding it at an angle yesterday not really noticing it. Which to me looked like i was using the stylus in one place, but the edge of the stylus touching next to it instead, All is well.

Pretty much i got angry without really thinking about the way i was holding it

go stupidity >.<

Sure my DS may turn itself off, but my touch screen is fine. Methinks you just pressed too hard too many times. It's a little thing called "Operator Error."

It's cool, i was just joking around  a little with my last post, no big.

Yeah, it sucks that your DS keeps turning off, if worse comes to worse and you want to play new DS games, have you ever thought about *coughulation*

coughulation? what is this madness?

And yes, there are a few new DS games out this year I want. HeartGold, Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing (I played the ROM, it's fun and I actually want it), and, of course, Golden Sun DS. And the older games I want... those are too numerous to list!

I once (or twice maybe lol) tried directly blowing into the mic's hole while playing a game, which rendered the touch screen rather unresponsive. It was back to normal after a day though.
