Yeah, there have been rumors i've heard about this 6/6/06 being the end of the world, since its the number of the beast, I belive in this supersticious (spelling?) stuff, but this is a lil out of hand. I've seen things that said in the bible it said its the end of the world, and a few other sources...But I really dont think anything is going to happen...because what about 1906, 1806, and so on? And if any of you heard of Sylvia Browne, her (or some other psychic) said that on June 6th,2006 and UFO is going to crash into the earth, and somthing else on the sixth...Do you think anything is going to happen on 6/6/06?

Some people will flip out and stuff on 6/5/06, but most people won't care.
Nothing will happen on 6/6/06.

Is this even a debate? I haven't seen anyone at ZFGC who supports the "6/6/2006 is apocalypse!"-theory :P

Anyways; quick summary why this is ridiculous:

- The world hasn't ended at 6/6/6, 6/6/16...6/6/1806, 6/6/1906, so why would it end next week?
- Any scholar proof? I don't think there is any to support this theory.

There has been a 06 before, 6 years after we started counting years.

And there are many calenders in the world...nothing will happen on 6/6/06....apart from maybe some terrorists who think its fun to do something on that date.

Definetly not, but I would so be pissed if the human race was killed off and I didn't get to play with my Wii (lol).

Unfortunately, science, has in fact proved that the world, will in fact, end on the 6th.

If we look at this diagram, you can understand why global warming will suddenly destroy the earth on that date:



Naturally, global warming is the result of stupid Mr. Bush, and is not any cause of the devil.  Mr. Bush pollutes so much, and encourages people to pollute so much, that global warming has sped up and will take it's disasterous toll on June 6th, engulfing all of the US, just like our Hero, Al Gore, has told us.

Come on that can't possibly happen directly on the 6th. It would be f-ed up.

That graph is just showing the different temperatures that water changes phases. it has nothing to do with the rate of global warming.
