Well, I'm trying to make a MC style version of the Snow Pine tree in FSA:

However the result looks strange...  :-\


Are there any suggestions how to improve the sprite?

Miragos, why don't you start with such a tree from MC (see Lake Hylia and Minish Woods) and the snow and snowish hue to that. But if you still want to edit that one, you need to get more detail in the "leafs" and on the trunk of the tree. Also reduce the hard outline at the top of the sprite to match the snow and leaf colors some more.

You need to get rid of the pillow shading on the leaves and trunk, that's why it looks weird ;)

I think you are better of altering the pine trees already in MC.
