So, I was Boy Scout camp, and I was thinking about how I was in the mood for a sandbox game Eventually, my thoughts turned to how they said TP would be long, and then I thought "wouldn't it be great if TP were a sandbox game? Post your opinions here... or, you know, don't post at all, but I'd prefer ifd you did. :D

Ive said it before, im not extremely crazy about this game. However I hope its like WW and OOT where you can run anywhere pretty much. So I voted yeah.

So what! I wanna get out! 'Cos there's so much out there! So many different people, living different lives! Incredibly good guys, bad guys... Folks completely different from us! It's one huge melting pot! See, it's not about success, dying in the streets, who's better, who's not! I just want to be a part of it! I realized that even if I've no connections, no talent, even if I'm one big loser, I want to use my hands and feet to think and move, to shape my own life! We can just die here or we can try, see what we've got!

Sorry, couldn't resist the pie. I think of zelda sorta already like a sandbox game, it is pretty open ended. Some good bits would be

Dungeons that are randomnly generated, so quests could be endless.
Save after you beat Ganondorf, over a different file. As in,
"Game over, you win. SAVE?"
The file that has the completed save could be like what everyone wanted in OOT, Zoras domain unfreezing, people being safe again, dunno what there would be to do after though.

Oops sorry I didn't see the link... Don't be so rude =(
It seems like TP is a kind of Sandbox game, but then i doubt it.
LOZ always have alot of sub quest, so i guess you can do alot of other stuff in your own freedom before you finish the big main quest or something.

I voted PIE agree more with the existence of/ concept of the being of PIE than any of those options.

I'd like something more sandboxy: But still with the idea of dungeon order.

Basically, i think a little more sand, and a box, could take a Zelda game into a greater level of immersion.

Its not like when you walk into a house your like: I just walked into a house; Change to house mode, bring up house map, change looking angle.

Basically, some sandboxing the dungeons into the overworld: Like sometimes even having to go back through parts of a dungeon, or going from one to another, by going through a different one etc. This would make a dungeon seem less like a scary, hard place. Somewhere you would want to go back to, and explore new/hidden regions etc.
However, this can't be done too much, as its good to have 'soft' areas and 'hard' areas to a certain extend, as zelda games have this great passive feeling as you walk around normally, and you dont want to have threat in the dungeons spreading itself too evenly into the farms and fields >_<

Fix 1: Do not access PC.

Also, it is VERY stupid to add voting options like PIE, because people, believe it or not, select em.

The title made me think it would be zelda where link, zelda, ganondorf, etc. were kids.

Zelda 1 is a sandbox game. You had no help in it at all and you could go practically anywhere. I doubt TP will be the same since Midna is around to help. Although the overworld is supposed to be gigantic.
