My parents are the same way. >_> I'll be freaking rich by the time I'm in college despite me buying games. The best thing to do is make its seem like you are comprimising. You get some money, for your birthday or something and you say, "Daddy, I'll put some of it in the bank and save it if I can spend the rest on the game." Then use some other money to pay for the rest of it.

Indeed, this is quite the conundrum. On one hand, your father, a lifetime parental figure who has a great influence over you, says that you may not cross the border and purchase an XBOX360. On the other hand, you, a simple carbon based lifeform who desires self-pleasure in high definition, wishes to cross the aforementioned border and bring home an XBOX360. Why, one might say that you are in a bit of a pickle, hmm? The best advice I can give is to find the answer within yourself, as only you have the power to change the problems of today's society in your community. Given enough time, your problem shall dissolve, and one may say you'll be a stronger, more durable being as a result.

lol @ walnut. My parents used to be like this. not sure why. Now I have control over my own money, but they decide when I can go to the store or not (sure as hell not walking that far). My advice: Get a bike. :P Or just come up with good reasons why you need moar!

Ehh... Your parents may be different than mine, but once my brothers bought Street Fighter II, without my parents permission(they were supposedly too young for such violence). It went right in the trash. All that money wasted. They have the power.

See, some people fail to grasp what it's like to HAVE parents that restrict their children.
It's not easy to "just do it" with the kind of parents he has. He'll be grounded and most likely will have to return it.

My parents were bitches till I hit 15.

I live with my girlfriend. I don't have parents to tell me what to do with my money. We're getting a 360 elite. We're both paying for it. My advice: Get an awesome girlfriend and move out with her. ^-^
