Back in 1998, my grandpa bought me a copy of CGW since we just got a computer for the first time.  On the disk inside the magazine, were several demos.  Warhammer 40000:Chaos Gate, Myth 2: Soulblighter, Wargasm, and... Half-Life.  I played the one level it gave you, Uplink.  It ran amazing on my 366 mhz P2, 4 megs of video ram, and 64 megs of ram.  Well, recently, I decided to torrent it.  I just beat it a few minutes ago and noticed two endings.  One, you are put in front of a hundred alien dudes and the other, you take a job from some dude in a blue suit.  What does it mean?  I have yet to play Half-Life 2 so does it set up the beginning of HL2?

Play Half-Life 2. Now. (Then Episodes 1 & 2)

You won't regret it. I promise.

Not entirely true ;) There are stand-alones and other things :P Which I'm not gonna mention...

Anyways, congrads, awesome game eh? I love the whole Half-Life series!

Oh, please do mention.

I got the Half-Life Platinum Collection a few years ago, which is great. It came with the GOTY edition of Half-Life, plus Opposing Force, Blue Shift, Team Fortress Classic, and Counter-Strike. Blue Shift came with the HD Pack to improve the graphics, so the first three games were ridiculously amazing. I picked up Episode One for $10 at Best Buy, and got HL2: Deathmatch and HL1: Deathmatch with it, which I'd recommend if you have HL2 but don't have Deathmatch.

I'm near the end of Half Life 1 where you have to fight that monster that fires the baby headcrabs, got that far in a day. Anyway, Its not hard its just in the second room theres a web that when you stand on it breaks and you fall merrily to your !@#$% death -_-

Just beware: The Orange Box breaks Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode 1 on some machines. Still waiting on a patch... I'm thinking it has something to do with that Half-Life 2 Dialogue file that removes the friends option from the menus?

Got the Orange Box this weekend and installed it all :). Started playing some Portal and HL2 (Which I beat before but hey, it's great) Haven't faced any problems at all, save the low framerate in Portal, it's playable but staring at lights slows it down :o, I find that weird though, HL2 runs on high settings and is so much smoother, blergh. My computer is old :(

Still, kicks all sorts of ass :)
