So, I got the Orange Box for Christmas. I tried to install steam, but it was corrupt on the disc. So I installed it from the internet. And then I activated my Orange Box. But now, it doesn't work, because ONE FILE is out of balance! filesystem_steam.dll, no matter how much I delete that, steam.dll, or anything, it just doesn't work, and I can't play any of my games. So, why am I asking you guys instead of the Steam support? Well, I tried to log on to their support site, but it's clogged, so I can't. And I probably won't get any help from you guys any time soon because of christmas. This is horrible. I hate this christmas...

Apparently someone posted long ago that deleting the contents of Drive:\Steam\SteamApps\NAME\half-life 2\bin fixed the problem. Not sure though.

I said I tried that... but the real fix, was deleting it from system32. Stupid Valve...

Thats ok, you didn't sound offensive, just angry.
