god I hate sonic so much... just because of this sort of stuff...

It was nice when it was just Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman. Then they introduce a shitload of retarded characters. Then they make a shitload of retarded new games. Then to top it off, they decide to make a game with all of those retarded characters in one brand new retarded game :D! joy.

Thats gay I hope it's nothing more than a sick tasteless joke.

I mean it pretty much went downhill once it became 3D but Sonic Adventure 1, and 2 were alright so was sonic heroes and mario & sonic at the olympics. The rest of the new ones though suck bad. I was hoping for next gen Sonic to be really good but I cannot get over how much it wasn't. They had humans in there, 20 new characters I didn't know what the hell was going on.

Ech, Sonic was alright in the beginning, but as soon as they attempted to make the transition to 3D they just began making garbage. I really have no faith that this game will be any good :S.

Then again, it's being made by Bioshock, not Sonic Team. Maybe they'll make something good out of it? They have a good track record with RPGs? Right?

Then again, Mario has been in several RPGs that turned out to be great games. Why couldn't Sonic also prevail in another genre?

I'm probably getting Sonic and the Dark Brotherhood when it comes out it actually seems like it'll be fun.

I think it looks pretty cool, I trust Bioware will make it good. They said in an interview they will make Big the Cat less moronic.

This is kind of old news. There's already been tons of screens in a past issue of Nintendo Power, but I wouldn't doubt it that some people haven't heard of it yet.

I couldn't be more excited, personally. I'm actually glad Bioware is handling the license, they seem to be doing great things with it. I want to play this game so bad...

I'm reserving my judged until later for this, but there's a pretty good chance that it will be at least decent.  Bioware has a very good track record, so it doesn't seem likely that it would be terrible.  Think about Super Mario RPG...a platformer/company-mascot themed RPG created by an RPG powerhouse.

For the love of God please tell me this is a joke topic.

That was a response to the topic, not the game. I have a lot of faith in this title from what I've seen so far, if nothing else, because Bioware seems to be a competent developer.

Meh, don't know if I'll pick it up.  I quit playing Sonic after Sonic and Knuckles.  My favorite is still Sonic the Hedgehog for Game Gear/Master System.

But, Sonic RPG? I don't know.  Mario aged well and Sonic kinda reminds me of an alcoholic who goes sober for a while then goes right back to drinking once he makes money again...lol

The difference between Mario and Sonic is that Mario games get made by skilled people. I can't say that from Sonic, by just looking at those countless crappy Sonic games.

What the !@#$% is your problem, Regulus? Quit being such a stupid little troll.

EDIT: To avoid the modhammer, I personally think this could be really interesting. BioWare has developed some of the greatest WRPGs of all time, especially KOTOR and Baldur's Gate. The only people that should really worry about things are animu-lovers who are butthurt over their Sonic characters being used in what will probably be a WRPG instead of a JRPG.

Fair enough, but this is being developed by Bioware, a company with an almost flawless track-record.  I don't think they've ever released a game that was considered anything less than exceptional.  I guess we'll have to wait to see if this turns out good or not, but I think the game has a pretty decent chance of at least being above-average.
